Radio Mix 92.6 Programmes on Heritage

Following up on a conversation with Radio Mix 92.6, I have organised a series of interviews on Heritage and St Albans.

Radio Mix 92.6 has now proposed a scheduling of the programmes on Wednesdays @ 7.30 pm and a repeat on Sundays @ 6.30 pm. All things going well, the programmes should start next week on 6th November.

Don't worry if you miss the programmes, as they will all be made into podcasts.

I have attached a list of the running order.

Sovereign Way Election Scandal Information Panel

Sadly, a few weeks ago the information panel in Sovereign Way, explaining the Election Scandal of 1850-1851, which took place there, was severely damaged. Thanks to the generosity of many individuals, funds have been raised for a replacement. Today, 25th October at 2 pm, there was a small re-installation ceremony.

September Radio Mix92.6 Interview

Iain Pritchard, Mix Mornings, Radio Mix92.6, interviews Professor Tim Boatswain, President of the Civic Society on the latest news on Planning in St Albans.

The Labour Government want to build 1.5 million new homes during this term of office, which works out at 370,000 per annum. St Albans has seen its target, under the last government, raised from 884 to 1544 (a 75% increase). The scale of the task is enormous, given that only just over 400 homes were built last year and the City & District contains 80% Green Belt, which has been protected land in the past.
