The Making of War: Russia and Ukraine

The question “Why War?” is often asked. Although many species have ‘fight or flight’ mechanisms and our nearest primate cousins, chimpanzees, can exhibit extreme violence only humans make war. War then is a product of human culture in which history plays a crucial role. This talk will examine how history has helped trigger Putin’s war on Ukraine.
